WHO AM I?

Hi! My name is Ava Gomez, and I am a current student at the University of Florida pursuing my Master of Arts in Anthropology, with a specialization in Cultural Anthropology. I graduated from the University of Florida in Spring 2022 with my B.A. in Anthropology and Geography. My current thesis research focuses on digital and physical spaces, and how those relate to individuals in the fitness community.

I am also a Graduate Assistant Advisor in the UF Academic Advising Center, where I serve as a general advisor for students in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, the largest college on campus! In the Summer of 2023, I am also excited to be a Graduate Intern for UF Preview, which is our orientation program for incoming Freshmen. 

I am open and interested in pursuing teaching positions in the Social Sciences, as well as Higher Education positions.
